BioDent is a blend of enzymes, minerals, and probiotics built for feline biology, not adapted from a dog formula.
Most cat dental products only work on the surface you can already see.
BioDent works through your cat's own saliva, softening the tartar that's already there while stopping new plaque from hardening.
Protect Their Smile.

Most cats start showing fresher breath within weeks, with deeper results building over 90 days. Try it risk-free for 60 days — if you don’t notice progress, you don’t pay.

Any last questions?
What if my cat won't eat it?
Most cats take it without noticing. In a two-bowl preference test with 18 cats that had a documented history of refusing new food, 89% chose the bowl with BioDent in it on the first offer.
If yours hesitates, mix it thoroughly through wet food or gravy rather than dusting it over dry kibble. It clings to moist food and disappears into it. Starting with half a scoop for the first few days also helps.
It's also normal for a cat to eat a little less for a day or two any time something new turns up in their bowl. That usually settles on its own. If it doesn't, the 60-day guarantee covers you.
What does it taste and smell like?
It's tasteless. That's the whole reason it works on fussy cats, because there's nothing in the flavor for them to object to.
There's a faint natural scent from the algae-derived ingredients if you put your nose right in the tub, but it isn't something cats react to once it's mixed into food.
In a preference test with 18 cats that all had a history of refusing new food, 89% ate it on the first offer.
Do I sprinkle it on top or mix it in?
Either works. Mixing it through wet food or gravy tends to work better for cats that inspect their food, since the powder clings to it instead of sitting on top of dry kibble.
If you do mix it in, serve the meal straight away rather than letting it sit. The enzymes and probiotics stay stable in dry powder and are meant to activate in your cat's mouth, not in the bowl.
One level scoop per cat, once a day, with a meal.
How does this help my cat's breath?
That smell isn't coming from their stomach. It's coming from tartar.
Tartar is where the bacteria live, and the bacteria are what actually produce the odor. So as long as the tartar is sitting there, the smell keeps coming back no matter what else you try.
Brown algae softens and breaks down that tartar, which takes away the place the bacteria are living. Zinc gluconate goes after the bacteria themselves and neutralizes what they give off.
Take away the tartar, take away the smell. It's usually the first change owners notice.
Will it break down tartar that's already hardened?
Yes. Brown algae works through the saliva to soften hardened tartar from within until it releases naturally, and dextranase breaks apart the structure holding newer buildup in place.
Softening what's already there takes longer than stopping new plaque from forming. Most owners notice breath first, then visible improvement near the gumline over the months that follow. Give it 90 days.
Is it safe to give every day, and how long should I keep using it?
Yes, and daily is the whole point. Cat saliva is more alkaline than almost any other animal's, which means soft plaque can harden into tartar in as little as 24 hours. Every skipped day is a window for that to happen.
One scoop a day, ongoing. There's no cycling and no break needed. If you stop, buildup resumes the same way it would if you stopped any dental routine.
Is it safe for cats with kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, or diabetes?
BioDent is formulated for healthy adult cats. If your cat has a diagnosed condition, talk to your vet before starting and bring the ingredient panel with you.
Two ingredients come up most often in those conversations, so here they are plainly. Sodium hexametaphosphate contains phosphorus, which matters for any cat on a phosphorus-restricted diet. Brown algae is a marine ingredient and contains naturally occurring iodine, which matters for cats managing thyroid disease. Your vet can tell you whether those amounts are appropriate for your cat specifically.
Can I give it alongside other supplements my cat already takes?
In most cases there's no issue, but check with your vet if your cat is on medication or a prescription diet.
One practical note. If you're already adding other powders to their food, adding another can be the thing that tips a cat into refusing the bowl entirely. If that's your situation, split them across different meals rather than stacking everything into one.
How does dental powder differ from dental treats and water additives?
Treats and dental foods work by abrasion, so they only touch the surfaces a tooth actually rubs against, and only while your cat is chewing. Water additives depend on your cat drinking enough of the treated water, and some cats drink less once they taste a change, which brings its own problems.
BioDent works through saliva instead. Saliva reaches every tooth, including the back ones and along the gumline, without your cat having to chew anything or notice anything.
Why not just brush my cat's teeth?
If you can brush your cat's teeth every day, that's genuinely the gold standard and you should keep going.
Almost nobody can. Fewer than 5% of cat owners brush regularly, and among cats who weren't trained to it as kittens that number is close to zero. There's also a limit to what brushing reaches, since most dental disease develops below the gumline where bristles don't go.
BioDent isn't a compromise for people who can't be bothered. It's built for the mouth of a cat who was never going to sit still for it, which is nearly all of them.
View More Questions
When will I see results?
Breath usually changes first, often within the first three to four weeks.
Between one and two months, gums typically look less inflamed and buildup near the gumline starts to loosen.
By three months, most owners see visibly cleaner teeth, and it's around this point that vets tend to comment at a check-up.
Every cat is different. Cats carrying more existing buildup take longer.
What if it doesn't work for my cat?
You have 60 days from delivery to request a full refund on your first order, no questions asked. Email support with your order number and we handle it from there. You don't need to send the tub back.
If you're on a subscription, you can skip, pause, or cancel any time from your account.
What happens if I accidentally give too much?
Stick to one level scoop per cat per day. If your cat gets into significantly more than that, call your vet, the same as you would with any supplement. Dosing instructions are on the label.
I have multiple cats sharing a bowl. How do I dose it?
Give each cat their own portion with one scoop mixed in, ideally at a set mealtime.
If your cats free-feed from a shared bowl, there's no way to know who's eating what, so whichever cat grazes least ends up getting least. If separate meals aren't realistic, the practical workaround is one small dedicated portion per cat each day alongside the shared bowl.
At what age can a cat start?
Twelve weeks and older.
Dental disease starts far earlier than most owners expect, with the majority of cats showing signs by age three. Starting young is an advantage, not a waste.
Does it contain chicken, fish, or other common allergens?
The full ingredient panel is printed on the label and shown above. If your cat has diagnosed allergies, read it through with your vet before starting.
How long does one container last?
One tub is 30 scoops at 1.5g each, so 30 days for one cat.
Powder settles during shipping. Level each scoop rather than heaping it and you'll get the full month out of every tub.
Can I use it on my dog?
No. Cats have the most alkaline saliva of any common household pet, which is why plaque mineralizes so much faster in a cat's mouth than a dog's. BioDent's enzyme system is built around that specific chemistry, so a dog would get very little out of it.
Is BioDent safe?
Yes, and here's what that's actually backed by rather than just asserted.
BioDent is made in a GMP-certified facility. GMP means Good Manufacturing Practice, a standard covering how a product is made, cleaned, tested and documented at every stage, so every tub is identical to the last one.
It's also HACCP certified. That's a food-safety system that maps every point in production where something could go wrong and puts a control there before it does, instead of testing for problems afterwards.
The formula itself is built for cats specifically, at doses meant to do something rather than look good on a label. Sodium hexametaphosphate & brown algae, couple of the active ingredients, works through a mechanism the Veterinary Oral Health Council recognizes for controlling and reducing tartar.
